It might be called a composite but Renewal is made a lot stronger despite being a similar material. Only one problem with two casements that came without screens. One thing that Andersen usually does very well is back their product with no hassles on warranty issues.

We just built a house this last year and used all Anderson windows from Home Depot. I am an expert on my opinion and it is free, satisfaction guaranteed or your money back. I have yet to have any problems in 11 years of service. Actually I do not believe they do. Not really. The 400 series is the line that has been made for years with minor changes & I feel a lot of other brands have surpassed them on features & overall quality.

The new Woodwrights series is suypposed to be the top of the Andersen line & still seems a little cheap on the construction.
They have multiple product options within almost any category of window.
That includes sliding windows, shaped windows for unique spaces in your home, storm windows, double and single-hung, casement windows, tinted or beveled windows for rooms like bathrooms.
We buying it ourselves from the building supply place, so they're not getting any markup on it. OThe all-fibrex is the 100 series, which is the cheapest Andersen product.

The 400 series is a step up from the 200 series quality wise but they are also more expensive. Andersen 400 series casements are vinyl clad and the double hung sash is coated with a thick polymerized paint, the frames are vinyl-clad and the sills are fibrex clad.
HD refused to come back out until they were paid in full and they ended up sending the balance due off to a collection agency. Projected lead times are based on current production volumes and order backlogs, however there are still some lingering supply chain challenges and disruptions that are difficult to predict or model. Excellent job.

The Andersen 100 series is a piece of garbage, its flimsy and very cheap looking. The one thing I did not like about the 200 series double hungs though is that all the windows are sized for 2x4 walls and for thicker walls you need to add an extension jamb.
