I would recommend at a minimum a 1.5 HP dust collector with a 1 micron filter and a short 4 hose that you would connect to each tool. Also the store I work for stocks some 26 gauge duct work, 4 inch and 6 inch ys still have to be ordered in but if customers ordered enough of these they might become an in stock item.

Hi Frank, thanks for the kind words. However, plastic flex-hose and plastic duct, are an insulator, and dust particles moving against the, walls of the plastic duct create a static electrical build. I use some metal ones on my PVC ducts as well because they are more durable than the cheap plastic ones. Once again, many thanks for the informative discussion.
I do recommend a direct connection to all machines and a open connection to portable machines that are used sometimes. Ive had to do this on some dust collectors. I placed a blast gate at each machine along with a pushbutton start stop station. Buying local might provide savings due to the high shipping costs of large pipes. I would either go all 4, or remove the 6x4x4x4 reducer and go 6 for your main trunk. To prevent static charge and shocks I lined the PVC and fittings with a strip of aluminum foil duct tape with the ends wrapped around the pipe ends and fitting ends so that continuity is maintained from the machine all the way to the dust collector which is electrically grounded. I would encourage you to do some research on the specific machine to see if any owners are using pipe larger than 6, and see how their performance is. all I can find is 6 inch pipe. Now you want to make sure that you are doing everything you can to get the most out of it. 10% leakage on a 50,000 CFM system will lose enough air to add five to six machines.
