For those wishing to take a dip, The Cumberland Hotel, directly next door, offers one of Bournemouths largest outdoor heated pools with a sun terrace and a lido deck surrounding the pool. Contactless check-in/check-out As for one of the sister hotels (the cumberland) where we ate one evening on another guest's recommendation, i would advise all not to bother, the food was presented very badly on the main course the sweet was a brulee for the adults which has been burnt probably that morning ( my business is cakes) was disgusting, the children had a cold chocolate cake that was hard and just did not look good, this was the same sweet in the suncliff the next evening but they ate that one due to being heated and little touches that made it look good even adding a strawberry to brighten it up, the kids loved that.
